20-year-old Victor Ramirez of Modesto, California was driving on Claus Road when he was rear-ended by a car. Both drivers pulled to the side of the road and Ramirez became confrontational, pushing and threatening the other man, then he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the other driver. The other driver got back in his car and drove away. Ramirez followed. The driver lost Ramirez and had parked the car and was walking across the street with his passenger when Ramirez rounded the corner. Ramerez fired several shots at the pair. One of the shots hit the driver. Ramirez drove off but a few days later the victim spotted Ramerez' truck and called police. Ramirez was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
"I thought I was going to die," the victim told reporters. "I've never been shot at before. I don't even have a gun. I've never though to shoot anyone else. I guess people think differently."
The shooter was a drug dealer that was manufacturing illegal drugs in his home, and used a stolen pistol to commit the shooting. When he was arrested, he and his roommate were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and over 30 marijuana plants?
ReplyDeleteHow is that the gun's fault or the fault of gun owners who aren't criminals? How is this in any way an indictment of lawful gun owners? He is a criminal, and doing illegal things like making drugs, stealing guns, and shooting people is what criminals do.

You (the CSGV) claim this site shows "concealed handgun permit holders in action." yet you provide no evidence this man had a license to carry. Is there a reason the dishonesty is necessary? Are you banking on the fact the Laddites will take everything you post at face value and not look for the facts?
ReplyDeleteAnd like Divemedic said, if you had the integrity to post the rest of the article, you would see the man was later arrested with 30 marijuana plants, the stolen gun, and methamphetamine in his home.
